Fairway Regulars Privacy Policy

Information we collect and how

Fairway Regulars is operated by 28th Street Library LLC. We collect information you provide, information created when you use shared features, and limited device or service information needed to run the app.

• Account and profile information, including display name, username, email, protected login credentials, age confirmation, legal acceptance, handicap or new-golfer status, a manually selected general location, sharing preferences, and an optional avatar.
• Golf and social Gameplay Content, including rounds, invitations, participants, course and format selections, scores, optional Side Game Club Values and Results, follows, chat, blocks, reports, and corrections.
• Course searches and requests, including search text, selected course identifiers, cached search results, and records of requests to our course-data provider.
• Service information, including account sessions, notification preferences, an opt-in device notification token and platform, and limited request or diagnostic information such as IP addresses, timestamps, and errors used to operate and protect the service.
• Support information, including your email address and the messages or attachments you choose to send our team.

How we use information

• Create and protect accounts, verify email, recover access, and provide support.
• Operate scorecards, rounds, side games, social features, chat, moderation, corrections, and shared results.
• Send optional notifications, honor your preferences, prevent abuse, maintain the service, and improve reliability.

Camera, photos, location, and notifications

• The camera is used only when you choose to scan a player profile QR code. QR recognition happens on your device; camera images are not recorded or uploaded, and microphone access is not requested. The decoded sharing token is sent to our service to open the shared player card.
• If you choose a profile photo, the selected image is uploaded and stored as your avatar. We do not upload the rest of your photo library.
• Profile location is a general location you select manually. The app does not request your device's GPS location or access your address book.
• Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, a notification token and platform are stored to deliver notifications through Expo and Apple or Google. You can change notification preferences or turn off permission in your device settings.

Sharing, selling, and tracking

Other players receive the profile, round, score, social, and chat information needed for features you choose to use. Service providers process information only as needed for hosting, email delivery, optional notifications, course data, support, security, and service operation. We require providers that receive user data to protect it consistently with this policy.

Our providers include Railway for hosting and storage, Resend for account emails, Expo and Apple or Google for optional push notifications, and GolfCourseAPI for course information. Course searches and selected course identifiers may be sent to GolfCourseAPI; we do not include account identifiers, profiles, scores, or chat messages in those requests.

Fairway Regulars does not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Retention, choices, and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, protect users, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Email verification and password-reset codes expire after 10 minutes. Expiration prevents use of a code; it does not necessarily delete the stored record at that moment. Course-search records, service logs, and moderation records do not all have automatic deletion schedules.

You can permanently delete your account in Profile → Account & Data by confirming your password. Deletion removes your account, profile, avatar, social connections, and chat messages from the live service. Completed scorecards and final Side Game Results shared with other players may remain, with your name replaced by “Deleted Player” and your account link and avatar removed. Unfinished rounds may be transferred, cancelled, or removed.

Recovery backups are protected and currently retained and removed manually; they do not expire automatically. Deleting an account does not immediately erase its information from an existing backup. That information can remain until the backup is removed or replaced. Contact us at info@28thstreetlibrary.com with questions or deletion requests concerning retained information.

You can edit your profile, disable optional notifications or location sharing, and use in-app block and report controls. To request access, correction, or deletion, use the in-app deletion control or email info@28thstreetlibrary.com.

Security, age limit, and contact

We use safeguards designed for the information we handle. Fairway Regulars is for people age 18 or older and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a person under 18 created an account.

On supported iPhones, the app asks Apple whether regional age checks apply and, when needed, requests an age range to enforce the 18+ limit. This check applies before account access, including for returning players. We do not receive your date of birth or identity documents, and do not save or send Apple's age-range response to our servers. Older iOS versions retain the 18+ signup confirmation.
